FOREST CITY X CAUSEWAY LINK: AIM SEAMLESS ROUTES TO SINGAPORE
GELANG PATAH, 12 DEC 2023: Forest City has forged a strategic partnership with Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (Causeway Link) through Park & Ride program. The collaboration aims to enhance connectivity and paving way for an efficient link between Forest City and Sultan Abu Bakar CIQ Complex located in Tanjung Kupang, Johor.
Effective on 15 December 2023, the bus (FC1) travel from Forest City past 2nd Link en route to Tuas, Singapore as early as 5:30am until 8:30pm with one-hour intervals between each trip on daily basis. Residents in Forest City, Gelang Patah, Pontian and neighbouring residential area are about to experience a significant improvement in their daily commute practice through Park & Ride program.
Travellers who opted to board FC1 will have the option to conveniently park their vehicles at Forest City transportation hub for free, eliminating the hassle of going through a busy town to access cross-border bus services. The convenience factor also reflected in payment methods. The FC1 service accept both ManjaLink Card and cash payment, providing flexibility for a diverse range of commuters.
The Vice President of Forest City, Ir. Hj. Syarul Izam commented “Park & Ride programme offers a streamlined and smoother travel experience, as the direct route between Forest City and CIQ Second Link will significantly reduce unnecessary travel time. Travelers can now travel efficiently and swiftly without the usual delays caused by traffic congestion.
The company believes that this strategic partnership will not only benefit daily commuters but also cater to the increasing interest from potential inhabitant eyeing Forest City as their place to reside. “The direct routes to Singapore are expected to make Forest City more accessible and attractive to those considering it as their future home. This initiative is aligned with the Special Financial Zone (SFZ) planning and requirement where accessibility is one of the key aspects in its development,” he added.
