In just 100 days, they managed to transform 150,000 square meters of sandbar wilderness into a forest! During the talk, Dr Qiu also shared the “Happy Farm” plan. According to the plan, Forest City will allocate a plot of land as community farmland, and will provide the seeds, tools and fertilizers, etc, the residents can do farming with their choice of vegetables or plants and harvest them on their own. The “Happy Farm” project is believed to bring a different lifestyle option and create more fun for the residents. After the session, the staff and residents applauded Dr Qiu for his wonderful lecture, which makes them better understand and cherish the surrounding greeneries and gardening in Forest City.

Environmental protection and safety have always been the lifelines of Forest City development. Ever since the project was launched, Forest City has been practicing the concept of sustainable development. We have carried out environmental impact assessment and water quality monitoring to ensure that the development of the project will not compromise the environment. Since 2015, Forest City has been working with the experts from the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to carry out seagrass protection in the Tanjung Kupang area. After years of efforts, the seagrass in this area has been significantly improved and gradually restored to its original form. In October 2019, Forest City signed a MOU with Malaysian Natural Society (MNS), the 80-year environmental NGO, to discuss environmental initiatives around Forest City. The following month, Forest City organized a beach clean-up event with more than 100 employees, and launched the FC Go Green project where monthly environmental activities will be conducted to raise environmental awareness in Forest City.
