 GELANG PATAH, 23 November 2019: A water theme park located in Forest City is one of the latest attractions in Johor Bahru. The water theme park was created in addition to a lifestyle package offered to Forest City residents as one of a selection of family entertainment activities at an affordable price.

The water park built in June this year is fully completed by the end of October and started receiving visitors on 13 November. There are 3 types of water attraction offered, which are water-sliding and water-maze each with a capacity of 300 people per hour. Meanwhile the water-fun-challenge able to accommodate up to 150 visitors per hour.


With an area of 2000 square meters and located at the beach, this family attraction costs around 4.5 million Ringgit. Operating daily from 10am to 8pm, Forest City water park offers a fun experience at an affordable price of RM15 per person.


“Forest City development is based on eight core industries pillars that were identified early in the development planning process, including tourism. In addition to developing residential and industrial units, we are well aware that the presence of such attractions will attract more visitors to Forest City. This water theme park is one of the early attractions built here. There will be many more attractions such as green museum and eco-tour packages,” said Forest City Deputy General Manager Ir.Syarul Izam Sarifudin.


“Our visitors are Forest City homeowners and locals. We are aware that there are other theme parks in Johor Bahru, however, Forest City offer more economical option and can be enjoyed by all community level. Since it is school break season, parents can visit Forest City water park with their children,” added Syarul Izam.


The existence of various tourist attractions and facilities irrespective of scale indirectly promotes the state of Johor. It is in line with the state government’s objective in intensifying its promotional effort for the visit Johor 2020. With the Forest City water theme park, as well as affordable ticket prices, Johorean have more options to enjoy the school holiday with their families,” said YB Liow Cai Tung, Chairman of the Tourism, Women, Family and Community Development Committee who attended and officiated the opening ceremony of Forest City water park.

Other than the water park, Forest City which is a mixed development has several numbers of other tourist attractions including Phoenix International Hotel, a commercial arcade and a golf resort along with two 18-hole golf courses designed by world-class golf legend Jack Nicklaus Sr and Liang Guokun.
